FOR ALL YOUR DENTAL NEEDS

Have you experienced lingering tooth or jaw pain lately? It can be difficult to ignore the discomfort, especially if it’s causing difficulty eating, speaking, or sleeping. Pain is often the sign of an underlying issue that won’t resolve itself without help. Persistent tooth pain can be a sign you need root canal treatment.

Our team specializes in diagnosing and relieving these pains so that you can get back to living your life. Whether you’re dealing with jaw pain on one side or widespread tooth discomfort, we are here to help.

Causes of Tooth Pain

Tooth pain is a common complaint among adults in Missouri City, TX. There are many possible causes of tooth pain that range from minor to more serious issues. Tooth decay can cause pain when bacteria penetrate the enamel and dental pulp layers of the tooth, causing infection and inflammation. Habitual grinding and clenching of teeth can also wear down the protective enamel layer and cause pain. Tooth infection is another common cause of pain, especially if the infection has spread to the pulp or root canal. Lastly, wisdom teeth issues are common causes of tooth pain due to their late eruption in adulthood and difficulty in coming through the gums. Severe swelling or pain may require same-day emergency dental care.

Causes of Jaw Pain

Jaw pain can be caused by a variety of factors, including TMJ disorder, gum disease, physical trauma, and more. Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder is a common cause of jaw pain, which occurs when the muscles around your jaw become inflamed from overuse or stress. Gum disease is another possible cause of jaw pain as the bacteria and inflammation in your gums can spread to other parts of your mouth. Physical trauma, such as a broken bone or sports-related injury, can also cause jaw pain. Jaw pain on one side is often caused by TMJ disorder, but it could be due to any of the illnesses mentioned above.

"My kids and I have been patients of Dr. Dinh at Lake Olympia Dentist, and we couldn't be happier with the care we receive. Dr. Dinh and the entire staff are always professional, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we walk in the door.

They do an excellent job making my children feel comfortable and at ease during their appointments, which is something every parent appreciates. Dr. Dinh takes the time to explain everything clearly, answers questions thoroughly, and genuinely cares about his patients' dental health."

"I recently visited Dr Dihn’s dental office as a new patient and was very pleased with my experience. His staff was welcoming and professional throughout my visit. His hygienist, Allie, took the time to explain procedures related to my cleaning clearly to me, which made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. The office was clean, organized, and efficient. I left feeling confident that I’ve placed my dental care in the right hands. All in all, great visit and I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dentist."

" I came here to get a second opinion from a not so comfortable experience prior. Miaa, Dr Dinh, and Shannon were the sweetest and I 100% recommend coming here. My dental anxiety was easier to manage around them. Dr. Dinh is super comfortable to be around we even shared the same favorite cartoon. He recommended a game plan on my back bottom molar that is gonna end up needing a root canal or extraction. Nervous for the journey, but it’ll be ok!"

I decided to visit Lake Olympia Dental because the office is closew to home and I saw all the positive reviews, and I can see why! It was a seamless experience for being a new patient. Dr. Dinh and his staff were very personable, making sure you're at easy and having an enjoyable experience. They know their stuff and know how to make your visit smooth and efficient. The office is brand new, very clean and modern. My first time seeing a TV on the ceiling for patients to watch as you're getting your teeth cleaned. They also give you a warm face towel at the end to help freshen up. I sometimes forgot I was at the dentist.

I scheduled an emergency appointment today due to severe tooth pain and was able to be seen the same day. The office staff were very friendly and efficient, and the facility was new and clean. I appreciated how quick, yet thorough, my visit was. Most of all, I'm grateful for their late office hours, which made it possible for me to come in during the evening.
